We’ve been doing a Murder Mystery for the last 14 yrs at New Year

and this, by general consensus, was considered the best. Before we started it, I wasn’t too sure about it being so scripted but it worked very well with plenty of opportunity for ad libs. This was the first one we’ve played which included songs and after a few glasses of wine we really enjoyed belting out the Sea Shanties.
One other benefit is that when it says ‘8-10 people’ it means it. All the other games we’ve played include a couple of extra characters who don’t really take part and are superfluous to the main story. This one is cleverly written so that all the characters have something to say and can participate fully so the game works equally well with 8, 9 or 10 participants.
The menu’s good too and the fish chowder is about to become one of our staple dinner party starters.
Will definitely be getting more from this series- just hope they keep on bringing out new ones”
