Any hotels/B&Bs (& similar) wishing to use Ace Murder Mystery games must use our 'hotel license' option.
The 'Hotel license' covers the purchase of the boxed game and the use of this game for one evening. The number of guests/players must be no larger than 15. (N:B the games are designed for 8-10, but up to 5 extra 'viewers' are allowed under this scheme).
This represents great value to your guests, at just £5 per person to
enjoy playing the game at your venue.
Hotels using our games under this scheme will be advertised on our Hotels page.
For more details contact ace games
(This is just the cost to you. You may charge your guests an appropriate fee
for your venue).
N.B: A new 'game+license' must be purchased for each separate party, and at the end of the night, the booklets become the property of the player. All of these terms & conditions are clearly printed on the characters' booklets.
All of the character booklets used in our games clearly contain information on the license which has been purchased to play the game.
Home-Use games - clearly state on the inside and reverse of all the outer booklets covers that the booklets cannot be used in any commercial venues.
Hotel games - clearly state in the inside and reverse of all of the outer booklet covers, that the game has been purchased under a commercial 'Hotel License', that the booklet must be 'new' when used, and that the booklet becomes the property of the guest at the end of the evening, to take away and keep as a momento of the event.
All of the 10 character booklets state 'Hotel Edition' on the front cover.
'Hotel Edition' games will not be found in shops, but must be purchased through this
website. (N.B. all games must be played as bought. Adding to, or amending, the
game in any way not agreed to by Ace Murder Mystery, represents an
illegal infringement of copyright).
We would ask interested hoteliers to recognise the fairness
of this scheme, and the excellent value of the arrangement to themselves, when considering
1. the quality of our games compared to those of other mystery companies, and
2. the alternative cost of employing a visiting murder mystery company or hiring
hotel staff to act in a murder mystery 'production'.
Hopefully hoteliers will recognise the benefits of working within the scheme
(rather than trying to illegally 'avoid' it), as appearing on our Hotels page should
bring many additional visitors to their establishments.
Please note - our 'standard' games are licensed for 'home-use' only and cannot be used in your venues (regardless of who purchases the game). The terms of this 'home-use' license are clearly stated on all of our 'standard game' booklets, store-bought game box covers, and on this website. Such an infringement would be a breach of the license by both the hotelier and the guest.
Any abuse of our 'hotel-license' scheme would mean both the removal of a hotel from our Hotels page, and legal action for infringment of the license.
